The most recognized image in the real estate industry is the RE/MAX balloon. Their corporate fleet of nearly 100 balloons is the largest in the world, flying annually at 5,000 events. RE/MAX ranks among the most well-known franchises in the US, along with Hertz and McDonald’s.
RE/MAX Associates are free to spend as much as they deem necessary to promote themselves and their listings. And they do! With billboards, radio spots, websites, and print ads.
Every day millions of people are reminded of RE/MAX through television advertising.
RE/MAX has its own Satellite Network, started in 1994, with constant training for its agents. RE/MAX leads all other franchises by very wide margins in the productivity, experience, and professional designations of its agents).
AND NOW… RE/MAX has as many listings to search through as Realtor.com, previously the Big Kid on the Block. Just go to www.remax.com and enter the 95321 area code. Happy hunting! And without all those annoying ads on Realtor.com. All the buyer leads from remax.com are routed to the independent offices to follow up on through a system called Leadstreet.
RE/MAX pioneered the agent-to-agent referral system that allows agents to choose who they want to refer a buyer lead to (without having to go through their broker or franchise). This creates a lot more referral activity, and does lead to more sales.
RE/MAX is a big sponsor in motorsports, Little League baseball, golf’s Long Drive Championship, Children’s Miracle Network, Sentinels of Freedom disabled veterans, and Susan G. Komen Cure for breast cancer.
RE/MAX agents work harder and smarter because they get 100% of their commission after paying a fixed office fee. This system attracts more independent agents who are committed to their careers. They aren’t being subsidized by the broker, they don’t have to fight for ad space, and they can’t have a “bad” month. They are focused on getting property sold all the time, and they are well rewarded for their efforts. This creates a high energy atmosphere where we like to work together to sell each other’s listings. But we still work on escrows all the time with agents from other offices. We encourage “co-op” sales with other offices by providing complete and timely information on listings, by responding quickly on offers, following up on the paperwork, being creative in solving problems, and whatever else it takes to encourage them to show and sell our listings.
Our rental department also generates leads and sales for us. We went from the smallest vacation rental program in 1993 to the largest in Groveland, with almost 80 houses. We have the best website for showcasing our rentals and booking on-line. Check it out at www.yosemitegoldvacations.com .
In 2003, with just three agents, RE/MAX Yosemite Gold was #1 in dollar sales volume in Groveland and Pine Mountain Lake. Other offices in town had 12, 8, or 7 agents, but could not compete with our experienced, full-time top producers. And in 2004, 05, 06, and 07, we are right up there with “the office with the most agents” every year.

You Want to Sell. Why Should You Choose Lauree?
Resume for Lauree Borup, Broker
What Clients Say about Lauree- Testimonials From Buyers & Sellers
You Want to Buy. Why Should You Choose Lauree?
Lauree.com
I will always be honest with you. You may not like hearing that your house is overpriced, or the odors are turning buyers off, or that no one has looked at it in a month, but it is my job to tell you. Hopefully I will be calling you to say that the house sold for full price to the first person who sees it, but really, if that happened ALL the time, you wouldn’t need a real estate agent.
I will help you strike a balance between a price that’s too low and takes money out of your pocket…. and a too-high price that scares buyers away. A balance between getting the house in best showing condition…. but not spending too much money to do it.
I keep up with the market by viewing properties all the time, either on the new listing tours or by showings to prospective buyers. I usually have seen 95% of the current houses available at any time; and, since 1987 as an agent in Groveland I have seen all the vacant lots. This “product knowledge” contributes to a more accurate Comparative Market Analysis of your property.
My photo flyers show your house in the best light, and with the most detailed information. My houses on Realtor.com have the most description (See Finding your House on the Internet.)
The Certified Residential Specialist designation (CRS) brings me a lot of out-of-town agent referrals. Amazingly, of the approximately 48 agents now actively selling real estate in the Groveland area, only two of us are CRS.
Finding reliable and reasonably priced service vendors is a big part of my job, whether it is an inspector, an electrician, or a window washer. I’ve been here since 1977 and know the best ones.
You can view dozens of client testimonials. A seller of a house for $535,000 wrote:
“You don’t really know who to call when you want to sell your home. So I asked around. Lauree at RE/MAX was recommended by 3 out of 4 people. I think the confidence she showed was the best part. There was not one step that I was in doubt about. She had all the answers and it felt good. Professional all the way.” Don Adams
Although my resume lists the top producer awards and the education designations, I am probably most proud of the years I was on the Southern Tuolumne Historical Society Board and worked on getting the Groveland Museum/Library built. All the money for the building was donated; none came from government or corporate sources.
I was the (volunteer) building chairman in charge of working with the architect, contractor, and getting all the bills paid. I was involved in all the negotiations with GCSD for the land on which it sits, and with the County who now maintains it.
A close collaborative effort to get something worthwhile accomplished: it is the same process for marketing and selling your home

I love to find just the right property for you-the one that fits your dreams and your finances. And I have the “product knowledge” to help you do it. I keep up with the market by viewing properties all the time, either on the new listing tours or by showings to prospective buyers. I usually have seen 95% of the current houses available at any time; and, in 19 years I have seen all the vacant lots.
The only thing I could ever sell is land and homes- they are my lifelong passion. My degree was in “Environmental Perceptions and Values” from UC Santa Cruz (a campus I chose for its beautiful forest setting, of course). My first career was Land Use Planning here in Tuolumne County- from 1978 to 1987. As the Asst Planning Director I supervised rezonings, general plan updates, subdivisions, ordinance revisions, wildlife habitat and policy planning, etc. Real estate is much more enjoyable, flexible and rewarding. I also design and sell my own houses. I am interested in innovative construction products, energy efficiency, site planning, and interior design .

Whether you are a native son, or looking at relocating, you will soon feel at home in Groveland. It’s a small town where people still smile and wave to strangers. Traffic is minimal and people move at a slower pace, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of their urban life, even if only for the weekend. If this lifestyle appeals to you, I’d like to take you through a unique real estate experience. This time it is all about you-- your needs, your desires, your dreams and long term goals.
I recognize that as a consumer, this could be one of the most important financial decisions you will make in your life time.
Such an important decision requires the best possible representation. Whether you are buying or selling real estate, your needs will become the blueprint that I will operate from throughout our transaction.
My name is EledaCarlson. I’ve have been around real estate and construction all my life. Born in Sonora and raised just outside of Columbia in Shaw’s Flat, I’m a Tuolumne County native. As a youngster and the eldest of five daughters, I tagged along behind my father watching him work. Dad was a general building contractor with a reputation for building a quality home and an eye for detail. A pick-up truck full of lumber and ladders was our family “recreation vehicle. I guess you can say that real estate is in my blood. I didn’t become a general contractor, but I did inherit my fathers love for buildings and his attention to detail.
My areas of specialization lie in residential properties, homes, acreage & building sites. As I often handle the marketing of real property for lenders, investors and estates representatives, unique opportunities for buyers do come our way. With a solid background based upon nearly 30 years as a licensed real estate salesperson, I have been able to help thousands realize their dream of home ownership. There is a great personal satisfaction in being part of this adventure in real estate. I try to keep an eye on the present while looking forward to the future.
Teamwork
My clients benefit from the teamwork shared with my personal assistant, Miriam Martin. Miriam holds an active real estate license and works exclusively with me in representing buyers and sellers of real property. Her primary responsibilities are in the areas of communication, escrow co-ordination and marketing. She is also available to show properties when needed and has a special talent in highlighting the best features of a home by “staging”.
Thinking of selling?
Be assured that experience, a proven track record and innovative marketing strategies do count. Most sellers want to get their home sold quickly and for top dollar. Friends and family may give you direction, support and advice, but selling in a buyers market will take a professional full time real estate agent. What we bring to the table are professionalism, critical knowledge, marketing skills, negotiating experience and risk management procedures that protect your investment and bring results. I don’t promise miracles, but working together, we will get the job done!
Looking to buy?
Tuolumne County has always been and continues to be a great place to grow up and a great place to live. If you are just beginning to investigate our area, I hope that you’ll let me guide you along the way. I would love to introduce you to the vacation home, residence, home site or acreage that will be so important to you. a place that will contribute to the creation of new traditions and upon which new memories will be based. We will watch for the perfect fit and keep you informed.
